This collection was established in 1960 and currently contains over 700 objects. Its material part consists of paintings, sculptures and graphics, mainly by Croatian authors. Most of them relate to the 20th century. The collection has several important art works by: Crncic Menci Clement, Cikos - Sesija Bela, Becic Vladimir, Herman Oskar, Uzelac Milivoj, Motika Antun, Veza Mladen, Prica Zlatko. There are also works by authors connected to the area of Sisak by their lives or work: Sulentic Zlatko, Steiner Milan, Janes Zelimir, Gradis Zdenko, Buzan Joso, Salopek Petar, as well as those who currently live and work in Sisak: Striegl Slavo, Biocic Alem, Glavnik Marjan, Rupcic Stjepko, Marekovic Ivan.

The collection has mainly been compiled by donations and a small part of it was bought from the authors.

The most important donation is that by the painter from Sisak, Spomenka Zidaric, who donated 55 of her works and donation of the painter Mario Petric, who donated a collection of seven, his works to his hometown.
